This video talks about the Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust Umbagog cigar, while I open a bundle of ten Dunbarton Umbagog cigars. I mention that I’ve reached a point in cigar smoking where I don’t like to buy more than 10 of one particular cigar at one time, plus I have acquired a huge pile of cigar boxes that I can’t think of a use for. As a result, I’ve changed my cigar buying habits toward more 5-packs and bundles, like the Dunbarton Umbagog bundle in the video.
If you’re not familiar with Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust, it is a relatively new company founded by Steve Saka (best known for being the mastermind behind the Drew Estate Liga Privada #9 cigar). Umbagog would be considered the “budget cigar” of their product line, although a 10-bundle sells for US$70-$85 which I consider the lower end of the mid-priced cigar range.
This bundle was billed as “Corona Gordo” which translates into about 6″ x 48 ring gauge.
Some background, the name of this cigar comes from a lake on the New Hampshire/Maine border where the creator, Steve Saka, spends some leisure times.
Highlights of this video include a pretty funny joke about my first wife, an explanation of where “Umbagog” originated, and a throwaway line from Curb Your Enthusiasm that my camera person took exception to (obviously she doesn’t revere wood). Oh, and also I opened a bundle of Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust Umbagog cigars.
